This idea for a memorial to dead pets was GTF’s contribution to Hardcore, an exhibition presented by the Royal Institute of British Architects that explored the design applications of concrete. The concept made use of a process that allows photographs to be permanently rendered into the surface of concrete during its curing process. As it states in a guide to the exhibition: ‘the image—like the memory—never fades’.
